Léon Delachaux (1850-1919) Marguerite, Petite paysanne du Blanc (Indre), detail. Saint-Amand-Montrond, musée Saint-Vic. Copyright Fonds de dotation Léon Delachaux.

In early 2017, L’Art et ses Services completed the translation of the 370 page catalogue Léon Delachaux (1850-1919) published by the Léon Delachaux Endowment Fund to preserve a record of the exhibition Léon Delachaux (1850-1919), Au fil de… held in Paris, the evening of October 9, 2014.

This catalog provides a unique opportunity to discover the work of an artist with an unusual career path. The quality of his genre scenes, portraits and landscapes match those of the great masters of the time such as Pascal Dagnan-Bouveret (1852-1929) and Ernest-Ange Duez (1843-1896). An artist of talent and sensibility, Léon Delachaux has been rediscovered thanks to studies and research conducted by his great-granddaughter, Marie Delachaux and the Léon Delachaux Endowment Fund.
